Shah Ardalan is the founding president of Lone Star College-University Park. Prior to becoming president in 2012, he had served as Vice Chancellor and CIO at Lone Star College System, and CEO of LSC-University Park. Ardalan has invested over 25 years in higher education and has held pivotal and executive roles at leading global corporations, distinguished university systems, and prominent community colleges. Ardalan has set many national benchmarks and standards for student outcomes, processes, and educational improvements. His visionary leadership and insightful inspirations have resulted in national and global recognitions for him and his teams. Awards include: 2011 recipient of Texas Association of Community Colleges’ Carl Nelson Leadership Award; 2012 U.S. Department of Education’s National Student Innovative Business Start-up Challenge; 2012 and 2013 Campus Technology Innovation of the Year Awards, 2015 Houston Business Journal’s Fastest Growing College, 2015 Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s Star Award, and 2015 Bellwether Finalist Award.
