Mark Linesch is vice president of strategy for Hewlett Packard Enterprise CTO Office and Labs. In this role, Mark is responsible for shaping key technology and portfolio strategies in collaboration with the HPE enterprise businesses. Prior to this role, Mark was vice president of strategy for HP Converged Systems - developing the strategic recommendations leading to the establishment of this business unit within HP Enterprise Group and working on the initial organizational startup. Mark formally served as vice president of strategy and portfolio management for Worldwide Sales & Operations, for HP Enterprise Group. In this role, Mark focused on shaping business strategy and managing portfolio processes to achieve targeted results across HP’s world-class server, storage, networking, and related software portfolio. Mark also served as vice president of marketing for Infrastructure Software at HP where he was responsible for delivering solutions that unify data center resources through management, virtualization and cloud automation so that customers can build next-generation data centers. Mark has also served in an industry-wide capacity as president of the Open Grid Forum, an international standards organization accelerating the adoption of grid and related distributed systems technologies. Mark has more than two decades of experience in the industry and has held executive positions in business unit management, strategic planning, business development, product and solutions marketing, as well as solutions and software engineering. Mark graduated with highest honors from the University of Cincinnati and is a recipient of the University of Cincinnati Scholarship Award for academic excellence. Mark currently resides in Houston, Texas.
